国家山药产业科技创新联盟理事，重庆市科技特派员，Scientia Horticulturae，BMC Plant等期刊审稿人。

主要从事植物种质创新与遗传改良等方面的研究。主持省部级科研项目3项、横向项目2项，获国家发明专利2项，出版《食用菌栽培技术》教材1本，发表学术论文20篇，发表教改论文3篇，授权国家发明专利2件。指导学生结题国家级以大学生创新创业训练计划项目1项，指导学生学科竞赛获国家和省部级奖励10余项。
